The Economic and Trade Express, comprising the London ETO, Invest Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, co-hosted an interactive seminar and networking reception with the Hong Kong Association featuring Mr Daniel Fung, Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Development Council, who spoke on “Stablecoins, Sustainable Finance, and Strategic Collaboration: Legal and Regulatory Insights from Hong Kong.” Mr Fung shared insights on Hong Kong’s prudent approach to stablecoin regulation and its pursuit for sustainable development of the financial industry. Promoting professional exchanges in engineering between Hong Kong and UK

London ETO hosted a reception in London with the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) to update engineering practitioners, graduates and students in the United Kingdom on the latest developments in Hong Kong and to foster professional exchanges between the two places. The event was joined by the Director-General of the London ETO, Miss Fiona Chau; the President and Senior Vice President of HKIE, Ms Alice Chow and Professor Frank Chan; the Director of Civil Engineering and Development, Mr Michael Fong; the Chair of HKIE UK Chapter, Mr Harry Lee, and over 100 guests from the sector.

Around 60 participants attended the event, including students and graduates, representatives from the University of Helsinki, and professionals from the business and education sectors.

London ETO joined hands with the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) to co-host an inspiring evening in London, highlighting Hong Kong’s position as a hub for world-class higher education. Opening the event, the Director-General of the London ETO, Fiona Chau, highlighted the city’s international connectivity and dynamic opportunities for global talent. Professor Eunice Seng, the Head of Department, was joined by four alumni, to share the experience of studying at HKU and how their study continues to shape their professional journeys. London East Asia Film Festival 2025
London ETO celebrates Hong Kong Cinema at London East Asia Film Festival 2025

London, October 23 – November 2, 2025
London ETO, the Film Development Fund, and the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region are pleased to support the London East Asia Film Festival in showcasing four Hong Kong films and hosting two question and answer sessions with creative talents.
