27th anniversary
London ETO celebrates in UK 27th anniversary of HKSAR establishment

London, July 1, 2024
To commemorate the 27th anniversary of the establishment of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), the London ETO supported the 24th UK Chinese Golf Open by sponsoring the Reunification Cup special prize in London. A total of 100 contestants participated at the UK Chinese Golf Open 2024. All players and their supporters gathered at the London Golf Club for the competition and awards ceremony. HK Films shine
Hong Kong films shine at British Film Institute in London

London, June 27 to 30, 2024
London ETO partnered with Focus Hong Kong to showcase a selection of Hong Kong films at the British Film Institute (BFI) Southbank, London. The Focus Hong Kong summer offerings presented four films, namely "The Wild, Wild Rose (4K Restored Version)", "In Broad Daylight", "The Sword (2K Restored Version)" and "Winter Chants". With the support of London ETO, the Copenhagen Dragon Boat Festival 2024 was held successfully with around 30 teams from the Danish community competing in over two days of racing. In Manchester, the 2024 UK Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is a resounding success with over 80 teams participating in races of various categories. Locals have enjoyed martial arts, lion dance and dragon dance performances staged alongside the exhilarating dragon boat races. To find out more, please click here.

Celebrating director Ann Hui's cinematic journey in London

London ETO supported the Chinese Cinema Project in presenting a special season dedicated to Ann Hui, one of Hong Kong's most acclaimed directors, at The Garden Cinema in London. The "Celebrating Ann Hui" season features five of director Hui's pivotal works spanning various stages of her career, including her debut "The Secret", the family drama "Summer Snow" and the critically acclaimed "A Simple Life".
