"Hong Kong: A Dream Destination for University Study!"

Hong Kong is Asia's world city, a place where East meets West, blending Chinese and Western cultures. We have a complete and diverse higher education system, with a number of outstanding universities that rank prominently in world league tables. Our institutions also provide an internationally recognised curriculum and quality assurance mechanism.

There are many Hong Kong students pursuing higher education in the UK, and we would like to encourage more UK students to study in Hong Kong. In order to do so, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London ("the Organiser") invites sixth form secondary school pupils (Grade 12 or Grade 13) in the UK to take part in the "Hong Kong: A Dream Destination for University Study" competition ("the Competition").

The Competition and Assessment Criteria
The Competition was first launched in 2012. The objective of the Competition is to enable British students to better understand Hong Kong's advantages as a regional education hub and to consider pursuing tertiary education in Hong Kong.

There are many reasons why British students should consider Hong Kong as a destination to pursue higher education. However, instead of setting them out here, we have created this Competition which invites pupils to find out for themselves: to conduct research on this subject and then present their findings through any means, such as an essay, a video clip on youtube, a post in a blog, etc.

A judging panel will consider the entries received and evaluate them in terms of content, creativity and presentation.

The best FIVE entries ("the Winners") will be sponsored to visit Hong Kong and study at one of the summer courses for high school students at a Hong Kong university (The duration of the courses varies depending on the programme).
