The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man (first left), began his two-day visit to London, the United Kingdom (UK), by meeting with the Chief Executive of the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, Mr Harry Cayton (first right) this morning (May 16, London time). Overseeing statutory bodies that regulate health and social care professionals in the UK, the Authority sets standards for organisations holding voluntary registers for health and social care occupations and accredits those that meet them. It monitors policy developments in the UK and internationally and provides advice on issues relating to professional standards in health and social care.

Dr Ko toured a supermarket in London and noticed that to maintain availability for all customers, there is a limit of two units per customer on formula milk powder in this retail outlet.
