UK secondary school students offered chance to win a place at a university summer school in Hong Kong!

The elevating experience of fifteen UK secondary school students, who won a chance to study at a Hong Kong university over summer in the past three years is expected to inspire more UK students to compete for a taste of studying in Hong Kong this summer.

Built on the success of the previous "Hong Kong: A Dream Destination for University Study" competitions (the Competition), the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London has launched for the fourth time the Competition again this year. The objective of the Competition is to enable British students to better understand Hong Kong’s advantages as a regional education hub and to consider pursuing tertiary education in Hong Kong.

The Competition offered UK sixth form secondary school pupils the chance to win a free trip to Hong Kong to attend a summer school programme at a Hong Kong university and have a genuine taste of the campus life in the best universities in Hong Kong. Sponsored by Cathay Pacific Airways and supported by the British Council, the Competition has the participation of four key universities in Hong Kong.

To enter, all pupils have to do is describe why they think Hong Kong would be a great place to study as a university student. Entries can be through any means – an essay or through social media, for example a video clip on YouTube, a post in a blog, and the entries should focus on the advantages of Hong Kong as a destination of pursuing tertiary education. Five winners will be selected and entries will be judged based on content, creativity and presentation.

To be eligible for the competition, the contestants must be –
